TIMO industrial paper shredders process waste paper, cardboard and pulp waste. Low to mid-speed, high-torque machines give durable size reduction for paper waste and pulper ropes. Shredded material can become RDF or new products; in-feed/discharge conveyors and magnetic separation can be integrated.

Pulper ropes (ragger wire / pulper tail) are plastic films, tapes, labels, hemp rope and steel wire twisted into a compressed tail — about 45% steel and 55% post-consumer waste. They must be pulled from the pulper and are extremely tough to shred. Pulper rejects are simpler: films, paper, tapes and labels only.

With a low-speed high-torque shredder plus separator, ropes and rejects become secondary steel wire and alternative fuel (film, paper, tapes, labels). Cardboard can be almost 100% recycled; shredders deliver consistent cross-cut in a single pass for paper, tubes, webs and production waste.

Process flow

  1. 1Shred ragger wire or pulper reject in a low-speed, high-torque shredder
  2. 2Magnetic separation recovers steel wire from pulper ropes
  3. 3Dewater the plastic / film reject fraction
  4. 4Shredded paper and film go to RDF or recycling
